One of Austria's most renowned interpreters: celebrated pianist, organist und conductor. Born in Vienna, Robert Lehrbaumer started his career at the age of 9 when he made his appearance as a pianist in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Since then, concert tours have brought him to almost all European countries and capitals, to North, Central and South America, to the Near East, South-East Asia, Korea, and Japan, in famous locations from Viennas Musikverein und Konzerthaus to New York's Carnegie-Hall and Tokyo's Suntory Hall and Casals Hall.
Robert Lehrbaumer began to study piano at the age of six. From 8 to 13 he was a member of the Mozart Boys Choir. Two years later, he entered the Vienna University of Music and Dramatic Art to study piano, organ, and conducting. Prizes in numerous competitions, especially Geneva 1985, and scholarships by Bösendorfer and the Alban Berg Stiftung distinguished the young interpreter.
When he was 11, he had his first appearance as a soloist with orchestras and has since performed concerts with the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Radio Symphonic Orchestra, the Bruckner Orchestra/Linz the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Camerata Academica Salzburg, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and with many foreign orchestras under the baton of conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Yehudi Menuhin, Sandor Végh, André Previn, Leopold Hager....
He cultivates musical partnerships with Wolfgang Schneiderhan, Anton Dermota, Walter Berry, Angelika Kirchschlager, Bo Skovhus, Friedrich Gulda, Rudolf Schock, Philippe Entremont and others. Robert Lehrbaumer pursued his careers as an organist and as a pianist simultaneously. His special piano-organ-recitals, also with orchestras, are very popular events for which he gets rave reviews.
Robert Lehrbaumer has participated in numerous festivals such as the Vienna Festival, Salzburg Festival, Brucknerfest/Linz, Carinthian Summer/Ossiach, Bregenz Spring, Luzern Music Festival, the Nuremberg Organ-Week, Slovakia Spring-Festival, Schubert-Festival/Washington D.C., Festival Cervantino/ Mexico. At the age of 25, he played a solo-recital in the cycle "Master-Soloists" in the Vienna Konzerthaus, together with Abbado, Sinopoli, Previn, Caballe, Brendel.
In addition, Robert Lehrbaumer has made recordings for radio and TV stations, LP and CD; he has starred in films and videos. He teaches at International master courses in Austria and abroad and holds master classes at the University of Music in Vienna and at universities in USA and Mexico and Asia. Member of juries of international competitions. President of the international piano competition "Zagreb 2006". When conducting Robert Lehrbaumer is known also performing both as conductor and pianist in works of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Gershwin, In 2014 he was awarded with the title "Professor" by the Austrian Federal President.
Since 2008 Gabriele Fontana is a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She marked her Debut at the Age of 21 as PAMINA in the Frankfurt Opera House, she already was a Member in the Opera Studio at the Vienna State Opera, and had won the Bachprize at the international Competition in Leipzig, and the R.Tauber Memorial Prize in London. Her early Career continued when she became a member at the Hamburg State Opera, where she sang parts such as Pamina, Konstanze, Sophie and Sophie Scholl in Zimmermann´s “Weisse Rose”. Sequently she was invited to the Bayr.Staatsoper Munich , Vienna State Opera, Glyndebourne Festival, Proms, Bregenz Festival, Salzburg Festival and Mozartwoche, Festwochen Vienna, to various Festivals and Operahouses in Berlin, Dresden, Amsterdam, Prag, Israel, USA and Japan. She has worked regularely with conductors as H.Blomstedt, P.Boulez, D.Barenboim, C.Davis, Ch.von Dohnanyi, B.Haitink, E.Leinsdorf, K.Mazur,Z.Mehta,W.Sawallisch, J.Tate, F.Welser-Möst u.a. A wide Discography documents her artistic way, like “Schubert-Lieder”, Bach Cantatas, ZDENKA/Arabella and Rheingold, Moses and Aron/DG, Lieder by H.Wolf/R.Strauss/Preiser and the first recording of all Songs by Clara Schumann. Robert Holl was born in Rotterdam and finished also his degrees with Jan Veth and David Hollestelle there. In 1971 he won the 1st prize with the international song competition in ´s-Hertogenbosch. Then he studied under Hans Hotter in Munich. In 1972 Robert Holl won the 1st prize of the ARD competition in Munich. From 1973 to 1975 he was active member of the Bayrische Staatsoper. He worked with conductors like Eugene Jochum, Karl Richter and Wolfgang Sawallisch. He was a guest in the Wiener Staatsoper, the Brüsseler Oper and since 1991 in the Züricher Opernhaus with parts like Sarastro in the "Zauberflöte" or Basilio in the "Barbier von Sevilla" among conductors like Claudio Abbado, Nicholas Harnoncourt and Franz Wels-Möst. In the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin Robert Holl appeared under Daniel Barenboim as a landgrave Hermann in "Tannhäuser", as Hans Sachs in the "Meistersinger von Nürnberg", as a Daland in the "Fliegender Holländer" and as a Komtur in "Don Giovanni". In the Wiener Staatsoper Robert Holl was to be heard in 2006/07 and 2007/08 as a Pimen / BORIS GODUNOW (new production under Daniele Gatti in May, 2007). In the Bayreuther Festspiele Robert Holl was to be heard since 1996 as Hans Sachs in the "Meistersinger von Nürnberg" and was praised for his achievement.In summer 2004 he sang in Bayreuth for the first time the part of the Gurnemanz in a new production of Wagner "Parsifal" under the artistic direction of Pierre Boulez. Beside his engagement in various opera-houses Robert Holl is reknowned as a successful concert singer. He has sung among the most famous conductors of Europe and the USA in Europe, America and Japan. Robert Holl is valid as one of the big Lied-singers of our time. His special predilection is the German Lied and the Russian Lied. A long cooperation connects him with the record company Preiser Records. Lied-evenings lead the artist regularly in the international music centres. Robert Holl is a Lied- and pino-composer, too. The pieces are published by Doblinger. Beside his activity as a singer he regularly holds master classes. Furthermore Robert Holl is artistic director of "Schubertiaden" in Holland and Austria. In October 1990 Robert Holl he got the Austrian title "Kammersänger", became an honourary member of the society of the music lovers in Vienna, in July, 1997 honourary member of the festival "Carinthischer Sommer". In 1998 he was appointed the professor for Lied and Oratorium at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna.
The tenor Jan Petryka grew up in Linz and in Warsaw. The basis for his musical education was his time at the Adalbert Stifter Gymnasium Linz and his violoncello studies at the Anton Bruckner Private University with Andreas Pözlberger and with Tobias Stosiek at the University of Art in Graz.
He received his first singing lessons by Gertrud Schulz. Then he studied with Rotraud Hansmann and finally with KS Marjana Lipovšek at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. 2012 he graduated with honor "Lied und Oratorium".
In addition to performing sacred music and Lied, he gradually has established himself as a concert and oratorio singer. He appeared with renowned ensembles such as the Arnold Schoenberg Choir, Radiosymphonieorchester Wien, Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Bruckner Orchestra Linz, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Orchester Dijon Bourgogne, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra etc.
He had his debut in his Polish homeland with Johann Sebastian Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" and the Warsaw Chamber Opera Choir and Orchestra, which was also broadcasted on Polish radio.
As part of the Lucerne Festival, Jan Petryka sang the leading part in Georg Friedrich Händel's "Belshazzar".
Also focussed on baroque music, he has been working with Bach Consort Wien, Orchester Wiener Akademie, L'Orfeo Barockorchester, Concerto Stella Matutina, La Chapelle Rhénane, Le Concert de l'Hostel Dieu, Solamente Naturali, Collegium Vocale Luzern and Arte dei Suonatori, Cinquecento Renaissance and Clemecic Consort.
His intensive work on Lied repertory and vocal chamber music led to fruitful collaborations with Robert Holl, Helmut Deutsch, Pierre Laurent Aimard, Roger Vignoles, Robert Lehrbaumer, Matthias Lademann and David Lutz.
He performed Schubert programs at the Oxford Lied Festival, accompanied by Julius Drake, Sholto Kynoch and Deirdre Brenner and at the "Internationaal Liedfestival Zeist", "Brahmsfest Mürzzuschlag" and "Festival Cully Classique".
At the Opéra National Lyon, Jan Petryka embodied the role of Tamino and ersten Geharnischten in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "The Magic Flute" as well as Pietro in Franz Schreker's "Die Gezeichneten".

His special passion for contemporary music finds its expression in close relationships with leading and pioneering composers, e.g. Johanna Doderer, Elisabeth Naske, Kurt Schwertsik and Tristan Schulze.
In 2018 Jan Petryka made his debut at the Prague National Theater as Novice in Benjamin Britten's "Billy Budd", performed Don Ottavio in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Don Giovanni" with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, as well as Jacquino in Ludwig van Beethoven's "Fidelio" as part of the "Styriarte" festival.
He also sang at the Schubertiade with Sir András Schiff, had worldwide performances with Thomas Hengelbrock and the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble/Choir with works of Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and was soloist in a concert performance of Gottfried von Einem's opera "The Process" at the Vienna Konzerthaus and guest at the Berlin Philharmony with Johann Sebastian Bach's "Kantate Christen, ätzet diesen Tag" (BWV 63) under the direction of Vladimir Jurowski.
At the Salzburg Festival 2020 and the Lucerne Festival 2020, Jan Petryka will be going to perform with Sir András Schiff and mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska.
She performs as a piano soloist, as an accompanist for singers and instrumentalists (Hans Hotter, Kim Borg, Iliana Cotrubas, Robert Holl, Elly Ameling, Kurt Equiluz, Graziella Sciutti et al.), as well as an organist and a harpsichordist. She has been the accompanist for master classes in Vienna, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Berlin, Aldeborough, Matsue, Osaka, Nagoya, Cleveland. She has been a teacher for Lied-accompanist in Tokyo, Matsue, Hamamatsu as well as in Seoul and at the Vienna Master Classes. Margit Fussi can be credited with many CD and radio recordings.
Born in Carinthia, Austria; received her first piano lessons at the "Kärntner Landeskonservatorium" followed by studies with Prof. Charles Rainer in Montreal and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (piano and organ) with Prof. Walter Fleischmann and Prof. Dr. Rudolf Scholz. Besides her university studies Judith Velisek has attended various masterclasses.
Since 1991 she has been teaching at Austrian music schools and has been a tutor to many award-winning students. Besides her intensive teaching activities, Judith Velisek regularly performs both as an organist and as a pianist, focusing on chamber music and piano accompaniment, at various music festivals.
Heinz Wallisch was born in Lilienfeld/Lower Austria and studied classical guitar with Karl Scheit; diploma passed with honors, from 1973 - 1981 assistant to o.Prof Karl Scheit at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, since 1981 director of the guitar concert class at the private Konservatorium Wien University. Concerts in Germany, England, France, Hungary and the US. Member of the "Wiener Gitarrenduo", the "Wiener Gitarrentrio" and the "Wiener Instrumentalsolisten" (Flute-Guitar). Braodcast and CD recordings, edited and arranged pieces for the Universal Edition and Doblinger publishing houses, in 1994 foundation of the private publishing house "Edition Heinz Wallisch".
Albert Aigner was born in Merkstein near Aachen, Germany. 1971 a lectureship for guitar was given to him, 1974 a position as a docent and since 1974 he is the leader of the guitar class and a professor at the Musikhochschule Lübeck (Germany). Apart from his soloist concerts, he often takes part in chamber concerts with Prof. Dieter Kreidler (“Duet Concertante”), which have carried him through Germany and Europe. Aigner is a member of the “Viennese Guitar Trio” since 1996. Additionally he is a member of the trio “Guitar Plus Two”, where it is not only played on guitars, but also on harpsichords, violins, flutes and fipple flutes, sometimes accompanied by vocals. In the latter case, either English Renaissance songs or German Romantic songs are sung and 19th and 20th century chamber music is performed.
Besides, he is known as a renowned docent and cofounder of many national as well as international educational courses for teachers and concertizing artists, e.g.: Seminar for Guitar and Mandolin in Schweinfurt (14 years), Seminar for Guitar in Altheim, Austria (8 years), Guitar Seminar in Ebenfurth (9 years), Seminar in Übach-Palenberg (10 years), master classes in Judenburg, Knittelfeld, Lockenhaus, (all Austria), Kronstadt (Rumania), Meran (Italy) and in Moscow.
Further activities: 1stchairman of the German Musician Association (DTKV), jury member at the regional and nationwide competition “The Youth Makes Music”, and at chamber music competitions.
In Aigner’s numerous records, he either plays a guitar solo or plays together with a chamber musical occupation; also he participated in broadcasting projects and TV productions.
She was born in Tehran, Iran in 1955 and has been living in Vienna, Austria since 1978. In 1977,after professional studies at the Conservatory of music in Tehran, under direction of Prof. Johann Rista,she graduated with distinction and thereupon got a foreign scholarship. Mieke Stoel wurde in Amsterdam geboren. Sie studierte Klavier und Kammermusik in ihrer Heimat und spezialisierte sich anschließend auf die körperliche Problematik bei Berufsmusikern. Sie ließ sich in der Feldenkrais® Methode von Moshe Feldenkrais‘ langjähriger ersten Assistentin Mia Segal ausbilden und erhielt „advanced trainings“ bei u.a. Yochanan Rywerant, Mirjam Pfeffer, Beatriz Walterspiel und Jeremey Krauss. Sie war 29 Jahre lang (1985-2014) als Vertragslehrerin an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien tätig. Dort war sie Mitbegründerin der musikphysiologischen Abteilung für „integrative Atem-, Stimme- und Bewegungsschulung“. Von 2004-2007 unterrichtete sie Feldenkrais an der Anton Bruckner Privat Universität in Linz. Von 2007-2009 war sie Korrepetitorin in verschiedenen Streicherklassen an der Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg- Augsburg und gab dort auch Feldenkrais Unterricht. In 2009 war sie Gründungsmitglied der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Musik und Medizin und leitete bis 2014 als Vorstandsmitglied die Arbeitsgruppe „Körperarbeit“. Kurse, Vorträge und Konzerte u.a. in den USA, in Japan, Süd-Korea, Indonesien, Malaysia, in den Arabischen Emiraten, Oman und in verschiedenen Europäischen Ländern.
Mieke Stoel konzertiert in verschiedenen Kammermusikensembles, u.a. mit dem in 2012 gegründeten Suedama Klavierquartett und als Liedbegleiterin. Seit Herbst 2014 ist Augsburg ihr Lebensmittelpunkt.
